DENVER (KDVR) — The city of Loveland is preparing for the grand opening of a cult-favorite burger chain by planning to lessen traffic impacts in the area.In-N-Out opened two locations (Aurora and Colorado Springs) in November 2020, introducing the brand to Colorado. Loveland's first In-N-Out location will be in the Centerra Marketplace, near the intersection of Fall River Drive and U.S. 34. DENVER (KDVR) -- The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has released new details about how a victim of a 36-year-old cold case was identified.The Jackson County Sheriff's Office identified the victim of a 1987 cold case as Jerry A. Mikkelson, 24, formerly of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Read more: Colorado Cold Cases Mikkelson's body was found on Oct. 18, 1987, "dumped" on a Forest Service Road five miles from the Wyoming border and 15 miles north of Walden, Colorado. CBI shared that soil samples from Mikkelson's hair are leading investigators to believe he was murdered in Wyoming and brought to Colorado.The agency also shared that when he was found in 1987, Mikkelson was wearing a vest with the initials "L.B.L." written on a tag inside.On June 28, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, CBI and the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigations exhumed Mikkelson's body. A 50-year-old woman appeared in court Wednesday, hours after authorities said she allegedly stabbed her mother and her adult child at their home in Stoneham.Stoneham police said officers were first called to the scene at a duplex on San Jose Terrace just after 8 a.m. Later facing charges, Cheryl Rios pleaded not guilty. Officials said Rios allegedly used a steak knife to stab her mother, 81, and her daughter, 30. Speaking in court, prosecutor Madison Bush said investigators ultimately recovered a bent and bloody knife at the scene. Officials said Rios as well as the two stabbing victims were all taken to area hospitals after this incident.
