ST. LOUIS – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy.Police were summoned to a local hospital on Dec. 1 for an assault involving a child victim.The victim, identified as Mario Mitchell, had bruising on his abdomen and was unresponsive. Los Angeles Metro trains will be arriving more frequently to accommodate increased demand as the transit service continues to rebound toward pre-pandemic ridership numbers.Beginning Dec. 10, Metro will be increasing train frequencies along the A, C, E and K lines, reducing the time between trains by several minutes.On the A and E lines, trains will be taking off every eight minutes, two minutes faster than previous, during weekday peak hours. On weekends, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., trains will arrive every 10 minutes instead of 12. A woman died after a shark bit off her leg at a resort along Mexico's Pacific coast, officials said.The attack happened Saturday in Melaque Bay, a picturesque beach destination just north of Manzanillo in the Mexican state of Jalisco.Emergency crews responded to reports of a person having difficulty getting out of the water and, when they arrived, the woman had already succumbed to her injuries, authorities from the Cihuatlán municipality stated on social media.Video shared widely on social media shows witnesses carrying the woman onto the beach and attempting to render aid before emergency crews arrived. After two years of surging U.S. home prices and mortgage rates, some relief could be coming to the real estate market in 2024, according to a new report from Realtor.com.Overall, the real estate firm predicts home prices will fall 1.7% next year, though larger drops are anticipated in 21 of the country’s largest metro areas that Realtor.com analyzed in its forecast.
