Freezing temps Monday morning, highs in low to mid 60s through week

St. Louis weather from Meteorologist Angela Hutti:ST. LOUIS - The second of two cold mornings is underway. Out the door temperatures Monday will be in the low to mid 30s with valleys and low-lying areas possibly dropping into the upper 20s. So it is a bundle up morning.  As high pressure slides east Monday, we’ll get into more of a southerly flow, and that will help warm us up. Temps will remain below average this week, but it will be milder than what we saw over the weekend. Highs in the low to mid 60s each day and lows in the mid 40s are expected. St. Louis radar: See a map of current weather here Watching for rain Tuesday through Thursday, but most of that will stay just north or south of the St. Louis region. The best chance will be on Thursday. A cold front late Friday brings better rain chances into the weekend.  

Police investigating standoff in St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO. - A police standoff in Affton is over early Monday morning.It lasted about three hours at the Brookside Village Apartments on Mackenzie Road and Chamberlain Drive. Local musician killed in Soulard fire, friends say That person was taken away by ambulance at about 2:30 a.m. St. Louis County Police will only share that this is an active investigation.FOX 2 will update this story with more information as it becomes available.

1 person dead in officer-involved shooting

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. - St. Charles County Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead.It happened around 12:30 a.m. in Weldon Spring. Officers said the incident started as a traffic stop. Local musician killed in Soulard fire, friends say Two people were in the car and one of them tried to run away. Police chased after the person and caught him, but they shared the suspect pulled out a gun. The officer then shot him.Police did first aid until an ambulance came to take the suspect to a nearby hospital, where he later died. No officers were hurt.

Crews respond to house fire in south St. Louis City

ST. LOUIS - Emergency crews are at the scene of a house fire in south St. Louis City.Our Nissan Rogue Runner reporter Nic Lopez captured footage of flames coming from the home located on the 3800 block of Texas Avenue. The cause of fire has not been revealed. Tucker’s Place responds to trend of ‘dine and dashers’ So far, no injuries have been reported. Pedestrian struck by car overnight in north St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS - A person was struck by a car about overnight.It happened around midnight on Sloane Square at the timber Place Apartments in north county's Woodson Terrace. Tucker’s Place responds to trend of ‘dine and dashers’ The person was not seriously injured. An ambulance did arrive to the scene, but was not needed.Police did take a man into custody.

Child struck by vehicle Sunday night

ST. LOUIS -  A child was hit by a vehicle Sunday night in The Grove neighborhood of south St. Louis. Tucker’s Place responds to trend of ‘dine and dashers’ That was around 7:30 p.m. t on Swan Avenue near South Newstead. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital and is recovering from her injuries.

Ballwin pool reopens today after April 15 storms

BALLWIN, Mo. - Ballwin Parks and Recreation will reopen the indoor pool at The Pointe in Ballwin Commons.The pool had been closed for the last week after severe storms moved through the area on April 15. A bank of windows near the pool were blown out and collapsed at the height of the storm. Tucker’s Place responds to trend of ‘dine and dashers’ No one was injured. Officials said the windows will be boarded up until they can be replaced.
